Rob Hughes  Chairman

Rob has lived in the Village for twenty years. His Wife, Kath, is an award winning novelist.Together they ran a successful gifts company in Knutsford before selling it in 2010. Their two children are now in their twenties and only daughter Ellen is still at home. After retiring in 2015 Rob joined the Council taking over as Chairman in May 2018. Rob still does a little business mentoring and is a member of Styal Golf Club and a season ticket holder at Manchester United

Hugh Morgan

Hugh has lived in the Village with his wife Rebecca for nearly thirty years. They have three grown up daughters who all received excellent primary education at our Village School. Rebecca was Chair of Governors and guided the School in its change to an Academy . Hugh works for CGI a Canadian multi-national IT consultancy. He is currently working on the national Smart Metering Implementation Programme leading the systems integration. Hugh enjoys walking, an inspector of local footpaths on behalf of the Ramblers Association.He is Treasurer of Prestbury Tennis Club having previously been Treasurer of the Village Hall

steve

Steve Hatton

Steve has lived in Mottram St. Andrew with his wife Katy for 25 years. Katy has always been active in the Village community and Steve followed her lead taking on the roles of Secretary of the Village Show and Chairman of the Village Hall Trustees as well as organising Music at Mottram events. Steve joined the Council in November 2016. After a 45 year career in industry he recently retired from BASF where he was head of HR and Legal for North Europe. He has thrown himself into golf, music, travelling and enjoying his new granddaughter.

Yvonne Dodd

Yvonne lived in Prestbury from 1999 where she served as a Parish Councillor before moving to Mottram St. Andrew just over two years ago. She is married with three adult children and three grandchildren (soon to be four). Yvonne was employed as a regional manager level for a FTSE 100 plc before joining her husband’s company. On retirement she became a governor of Withington Girls School and recently served as a governor of Mottram St. Andrew Primary Academy. She has learned to play golf and is a member of Prestbury Golf Club.

Andy Levis Vice Chair

Andy and his wife Sue have been residents of Mottram St Andrew since 2002. He spent most of his working life in IT at Manchester City Council before taking a change of direction into the events industry. Sue is a keen horsewoman with a win at the Horse of the Year Show, and now spends most of her time looking after her numerous horses aided by their daughter who recently qualified from the RVC as a veterinary nurse. Their son is a qualified diving instructor having spent nearly 2 years in Australia training. Andy joined the Parish Council in 2017 and when not practising on his motorsport simulator can be found on the fairways of Hazel Grove Golf Club.

David Walker

David has lived at Holly Tree Farm with his wife Alyson for almost 20 years, they have 2 sons James and Daniel. After a long and successful career in the hotel industry, now in semi retirement he continues to mix part time work as a consultant with enjoying the country life on his farm where Alyson breeds Labradors. Davids broad experience has been complemented by serving as a Magistrate in Stockport and a trustee of a couple of national hospitality charities. Enjoying a season ticket at Old Trafford with his sons, Travelling and riding his Harley Davidson, he is an avid fan of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse.

Sue has lived in the Village for over thirty years and has an eighteen year old daughter still at home. She served the Public as an archivist at Manchester Central Library and as a housing department advisor for Manchester City Council. Sue is delighted to be in a position to make a difference to the quality of life in the Parish and appreciates living in this wonderful rural environment.

ron

Ron Taylor LLB(Hons), CiLCA. Clerk to the Parish Council.

Ron and his wife Pauline moved to the Village in 2005 as his retirement from the Role of Managing Partner of a Manchester Law firm approached. He took over the position of Clerk in 2009 using his skills for the benefit of the Community, soon qualifying additionally with a Certificate in Local Council Administration. Ron is a passionate fly fisherman and Game Angling Instructor, a contributor to Fly Fishing magazines, an enthusiastic but unaccomplished guitar player, golfer, gardener and wine connoisseur. He enjoys the recent additions to his and Pauline’s family of 5 grandchildren.
